Deseret Industries is a fantastic place to find treasures of all kinds. It was also a big help for my sons family when they were in need both for clothing and employment! Knowing our donated items will help someone in need is heartwarming!

Please change your pricing system, otherwise many people will donate to other goodwill org. That do not even charge them.

I have never felt so degraded or looked down on. I usually love finding bargains at the DI so when we were going rock climbing in Ogden Canyon we went out of our way to shop here. The exercise/yoga pants were more then they were at a normal store so when I asked the cashier if we could bring down the price, even fifty cents would have been sufficient, she literally looked down a me and said, "I don't make the prices." I thought well maybe she is just having a bad day so with a smile and positive attitude I said, "can we ask someone who does? I don't mind waiting." She sighed in annoyance and got the manager who was standing literally ten feet away. The manager came over. I very politely explained that I had the same pair of yoga pants and had bought them for a cheaper price and asked if we could lower the price on the used ones. I have never felt so degraded or looked down on. I am not one to get offended easily, but the look and how she said to me, "the prices have to stay where they are," with superiority made me want to cry. She literally looked at me like I was trash, a piece of garbage she didn't want to deal with. Please, please, do yourself a favor and choose a different DI to shop at. All the others I have been to had me leaving with a smile on my face even though I don't have a lot of money. It is nice to be treated like a person with worth. After all, isn't the worth of every soul great in the sight of the Lord?

I love to donate so others can afford to buy my stuff. Lately I have heard people say how expensive the clothing is getting. I feel bad, I donate for those that can't afford much.

Fun thrift shop. Especially love their book section.

We wanted some 'learnig Spanish' books but didn't find any. They have a large collection of books with many novels; lots of clothing: and new assnd used furniture.
